Wednesday:
Wolfsburg 4-0 Spartak Subotica (agg: 4-0)
Having been held 0-0 in Serbia last week, it took 30 minutes for Wolfsburg to finally break down Spartak, with a fine run and shot from Verena Faisst. Julia Simic doubled the lead, and in the second half ex-Lyon player Lara Dickenmann opened her European account for Wolfsburg before substitute Caroline Graham Hansen – who only returned from injury in the weekend 2-0 win at Frankfurt – scored the pick of the goals from distance.
Bayern München 2-2 FC Twente (agg: 3-3, Twente win on away goals)
The German champions bowed out in dramatic circumstances on a rainy night in Munich. Twente twice took the lead, but while Melanie Behringer levelled for a second time with a 75th-minute penalty, there was to be no late winner, Bayern's second European campaign ending in disappointment.
Liverpool 0-1 Brescia (agg: 0-2)
Barbara Bonansea's finish on 26 minutes spelled the end of the road for the Reds in their last game under manager Matt Beard, who is leaving to join Boston Breakers in the United States. Ashley Hodson and Natasha Dowie went close to pulling one back, and Asisat Oshoala had a headed effort chalked off for offside as Liverpool finished strongly.
Glasgow City 0-3 Chelsea (agg: 0-4)
There was no way back for last season's quarter-finalists after Eniola Aluko took on the entire Glasgow defence before opening the scoring with a fine 20-metre strike on 22 minutes. Ji Soyun laid on the second for Fran Kirby, whose shot was deflected beyond Lee Alexander, and the South Korean was provider again for the third, playing a one-two from a corner and then setting up Gilly Flaherty to head in from close range.
Olympique Lyonnais 3-0 Medyk Konin (agg: 9-0)
Eugénie Le Sommer scored inside two minutes for the two-time European champions, with goalkeeper Anna Szymanska producing a string of saves to keep the Polish side in the game. However, Ada Hegerberg doubled their advantage and put a bit of gloss on the result with her second of the night late on.
Paris Saint-Germain 9-0 Olimpia Cluj (agg: 15-0)
Sabrina Delannoy's 21st-minute penalty set Paris on their way, but it was only 2-0 at half-time, Cristiane scoring the second. The Romanian side were overwhelmed thereafter, Cristiane completing her hat-trick, and Lindsey Horan scoring two more in the space of two minutes - both strikes laid on by Laure Boulleau. Corina Olar scored an own goal, with Lisa Dahlkvist and Ouleymata Sarr also getting on the scoresheet in a club-record victory.
Fortuna Hjørring 4-0 ZFK Minsk (agg: 6-0)
Florentina Olar scored with a direct free-kick and smashed in a penalty at the death as the 2003 runners-up accelerated into the last 16. Nadia Nadim made it 2-0 and smacked another effort into the post, while a fine performance from captain Line Jensen was rewarded with a goal just after the break.
Rosengård 7-0 PK-35 Vantaa (agg: 9-0)
The Swedish league leaders got off to a strong start, Canadian striker Josee Belanger hitting the first of her three goals on the night on two minutes, while Dutch winger Kirsten van den Ven got the first of her two four minutes later. Macedonian Natasha Andonova and Brazilian Marta completed the multinational scoring lineup. Vantaa have already qualified for next season's UEFA Women's Champions League as Finnish champions.
KIF Örebro 5-0 PAOK (agg: 8-0)
Örebro's debut UEFA tie was a resounding success, as they followed up a 3-0 away win with a big success at home against PAOK. Sarah Michael's early strike set Örebro on their way; Eleni Markou was unlucky to score an own goal on 15 minutes, and the home side piled on the misery thereafter, Sanna Talonen making it 3-0 before the break, and goals from Ogonna Chukwudi and Julia Spetsmark completing the rout.
FC Barcelona 4-1 BIIK-Kazygurt (agg: 5-2)
After a 1-1 draw in the first leg, Barcelona breezed into the round of 16 draw, two Jennifer Hermoso strikes the highlights of a solid performance. Gabelia Gulnara's last-minute effort at the Mini Estadi was some consolation for BIIK, who will be back next season as champions of Kazakhstan
Brøndby 1-0 Slavia Praha (agg: 2-4)
Semi-finalists last season, Brøndby sparked hopes of a second-leg rally as Simone Boye Sørensen spun and finished with a low effort in the second minute, but – having won the first leg 4-1 – Slavia regained their composure and created the better chances thereafter.
FC Zürich 1-1aet LSK Kvinner (agg: 1-2)
The Norwegian side edged their way through at the end of an even game. Home captain Fabienne Humm took the match into extra time with an 87th-minute strike after a fine ball from stand-out forward Meriame Terchouan. However, Emma Lundh came off the bench to lay on the winner for Lene Mykjåland on 99 minutes.
