Ada Hegerberg only turned 21 last month but it will be hard for her to improve on the season she has just had at club level.

A top-tier league player in Norway aged 15, she joined Lyon from Turbine Potsdam in 2014 and, after 26 goals in 22 league games in her first season, she improved on that this past term, starting in September with a hat-trick against Paris Saint-Germain. By the end of the campaign she was top scorer in the French League and UEFA Women's Champions League, her 13th European goal coming in the final against Wolfsburg.

Honours: UEFA Women's Champions League, French League, French Cup

  • Hegerberg totalled 54 goals in 34 competitive Lyon appearances last season to confirm her prolific reputation.
  • Hegerberg is a player for the big occasion as well as picking off goals against weaker opposition.
