Quarter-final contenders in winning form

UEFA.com has all the latest from the UEFA Women's Champions League quarter-finalists as the clubs break for national-team tournaments with under a month to the last-eight ties.

FRANCE: Lyon, Paris
There has been no stopping either of these teams in February, both sides scoring four league wins plus a victory in the French Cup last 16. Lyon's results included home and away victories against Juvisy, the only goal in the latter coming from Camille Abily as she set a club appearance record of 279 matches. On Saturday, two Wendie Renard goals secured a 3-0 win at Montpellier, who are now back in third, eight points behind Lyon and four adrift of Paris.

Off the pitch, Lyon will have a new coach next season after club president Jean-Michel Aulas confirmed that Gérard Prêcheur would depart in the summer. Aulas said: "We think that with such an international squad, we really need someone who has a total command of English."

As for Paris, they have extended Spain defender Irene Paredes's contract until 2019. Meanwhile, having beaten capital rivals Juvisy 2-1 on Saturday in the league, they will visit their neighbours again in their next game, a French Cup quarter-final on 12 March.

GERMANY: Bayern, Wolfsburg
Wolfsburg, who have given Tessa Wullaert a new deal until June 2018, are looking on top form as their showdown with Lyon nears. They have won all three games since the winter break and on Saturday won 8-1 at Bayer Leverkusen with seven different scorers, taking them top – a point ahead of Turbine Potsdam (who have a game in hand) and Bayern.

Reigning champions Bayern have won both their league games in 2017, though needed goals from substitute Vivianne Miedema on 65 and 70 minutes to see off Jena 2-1 on Sunday, in a game where new signing Fridolina Rolfö made her debut and Melanie Leupolz started for the first time since injury. Lena Lotzen is also close to a first competitive appearance since a serious knee injury following the 2015 FIFA Women's World Cup.

Bayern and Wolfsburg will meet twice before their European ties: in Munich on 15 March in the German Cup quarter-finals then four days later at the AOK Stadium in the league.

SPAIN: Barcelona
Barcelona, who lost 2-0 at Santa Teresa at the end of January, remain four points adrift of unbeaten Atlético Madrid. Barcelona saw off both Real Sociedad and Rayo Vallecano 3-0 before defeating Alcaine 6-0.

DENMARK: Fortuna
With the second part of the Danish league season not starting until April (though they visit Vejle in a cup quarter-final on 11 March), Fortuna have continued their winter preparations. They have signed Norwegian goalkeeper Guro Pettersen from Stabæk as Maria Christensen undergoes hand surgery and have also added forward Chù Santos from Corinthians, who she aided to the 2016 Brazilian Cup. Fortuna have been training in Portugal, where in friendlies they lost 2-0 to Chelsea but beat Sporting CP 3-1.

ENGLAND: Manchester City
City have been stealing the headlines with their high-profile signing of reigning FIFA player of the year Carli Lloyd on a deal until June. On 10 February, they lost 2-1 at home to FFC Frankfurt in a friendly, while City return to competitive aciton with the visit of Reading in the FA Women's Cup last 16 on 19 March.

SWEDEN: Rosengård
While the new Swedish league season does not start until April, Rosengård played their first competitive game of 2017 on 18 February with a 5-0 Swedish Cup last 16 win against Göteborg, Lotta Schelin and Ella Masar both scoring twice. They will visit Piteå on 19 March in the quarter-finals. Friendly results have included a 2-2 draw at Chelsea, Schelin and Masar the scorers.
