Last-gasp Arsenal clinch cup

Arsenal LFC claimed their first trophy of the season as Jayne Ludlow's late goal won them the FA Women's Premier League Cup against Leeds United LFC.

Arsenal LFC claimed the first of a potential four trophies this season on Sunday as Jayne Ludlow scored in added time for the UEFA Women's Cup finalists to defeat Leeds United LFC 1-0 and win the FA Women's Premier League Cup in Scunthorpe.

Unbeaten record
Ludlow, who is stand-in captain for the English champions in the absence of the injured Faye White, volleyed in a Rachel Yankey corner to clinch victory in a match in that Arsenal had dominated for large spells. The win kept up Arsenal's perfect record on the domestic front this season ahead of their European final against Umeå IK, the first leg of which takes place in Sweden on 21 April with the return eight days later. They are also top of the Premier League and in the FA Women's Cup semi-finals against Bristol Academy WFC.
