Prolific Germany striker Birgit Prinz has committed her future to UEFA Women's Cup semi-finalists 1. FFC Frankfurt for another three seasons until 2011.

Honours
The 30-year-old has already won two UEFA Women's Cups for Frankfurt, and is Germany's most-capped player having lifted the last two FIFA Women's World Cups and four UEFA European Women's Championships. FIFA World Player of the Year in 2003, 2004 and 2005, Prinz has spent her entire career with the club save for a brief spell with United States-based Carolina Courage in 2002. She said: "Frankfurt are and continue to be the club I feel at home at. The conditions here are just right, especially looking at the 2011 World Cup, and of course the potential in the team is there."

'Role model'
General manager Siegfried Dietrich, who himself recently extended his contract at Frankfurt, said: "We are really extraordinarily pleased that Birgit Prinz has committed herself to continuing to play for 1. FFC Frankfurt. Not only is she one of the best and most successful players in the world, but her great personality also makes her a role model for women and girls who play football." Frankfurt lead the Frauen-Bundesliga by one point from Sunday's visitors FCR 2001 Duisburg, with Prinz the league's joint-top scorer on eleven goals. They take on ASD CF Bardolino in the UEFA Women's Cup semi-finals on 29 March and 5 April.
