Umeå IK's potential rematch with the side which beat them to the 2001/02 UEFA Women's Cup moved a step closer with the Swedish side's 2-0 home win against Toulouse FC in the first leg of their quarter-final.

Linda Dahlqvist's goal for Umeå late in the first half was added to five minutes after the break by Hanna Ljungberg to send home most of the 2,243 crowd happy.

The result leaves the French side a tough task in the second leg in France on 29 November, and the tie's winners look like having an equally telling semi-final test with holders 1.
