National team: Iceland
Which player most inspired you and why? Sara Björk Gunnarsdóttir. She always knew what she wanted and even though she was not in the best team as a young player, she practised extra and got her goal. Then she aimed higher and even though she is still young she is very experienced and a terrific player.
Which coach most inspired you? J.P. my coach at Horsens. He had the exact right passion for the game and spread the passion to others. He taught us to think about what we were doing and talk together, and by that learn and become better. He expected a lot of us but never forgot the joy of the game.
What was the best advice they gave you? You play as you train.
Who is the best player you've played with? Sif Atladóttir.
Toughest opponent? The Spain we played in the semi-finals of the UEFA European Under-17 Women's Championship.
What are your memories of your first club as a child? I messed up a penalty kick in a shoot-out in the finals of my first tournament when I was nine years old living in Denmark. We lost and I swore I would never play football again, at least never take a penalty kick. This was soon forgotten and I showed up for the next practice. My parents have been to all my games and supported me since I was young.
What tip would you give a young player hoping to succeed? Dare to make mistakes. Ask questions, because it's how you learn, and do not be afraid to aim high, set goals and chase them. Believe in yourself.
What was the experience of playing in a youth final tournament? Terrific. Even though we have not always done that well it is an amazing experience. I would not trade anything for my experience at the Under-17 finals.
