Denmark maintain perfect record

Portugal 0-4 Denmark
Johanna Rasmussen and Maiken Pape scored before two Merete Pedersen goals as Denmark maintained their 100 per cent start.
Johanna Rasmussen and Maiken Pape scored before two Merete Pedersen goals as Denmark maintained their 100 per cent record after five outings in 2009 UEFA European Women's Championship qualifying Group 5.

Comfortable win
Speedy forward Rasmussen set Denmark on their way by firing in the opener after 18 minutes, although they had to wait until seven minutes into the second half to double that advantage when Pape headed in. Striker Pedersen then took centre stage, heading in a corner before rounding off the scoring to maintain Denmark's fine run.

Ukraine race
Denmark are now three points clear of Ukraine, who have won all four of their fixtures, and both have games on 28 May before their first showdown in Chernigov on 22 June. Portugal, with one point, end their fixtures in Ukraine on 27 September

While Portugal are left propping up the section with a solitary point, the Danes are battling it out with Ukraine (four wins from four) to seal the automatic place on offer at the finals in Finland.
