Natascha Celouch and Nina Burger, who this month helped SV Neulengbach through to the UEFA Women's Cup second qualifying round, both found the target as Austria got off the mark in UEFA WOMEN'S EURO 2009™ qualifying Group 6.
Burger hat-trick
Austria's 5-1 home loss to Russia on Thursday was their third in the group but were ahead 13 minutes in against Israel when Celouch brushed past two defenders and shot in from close range. They truly took control against the break when Celouch crossed for Burger to head in and she struck again in the 71st minute. Celouch swiftly scored her second goal before Burger completed a hat-trick in added time. The home side are now fourth, two points ahead of Israel, but have no more group fixtures until their trip to Poland on 28 May 2008. Israel visit Norway earlier that month.
