• The oldest of the UEFA Women's EURO 2013 venues, the home of Halmstads BK and IS Halmia was opened in 1922 by the future King Gustaf VI Adolf and was renovated 50 years later. The athletics track was removed in the 1980s.
• The stadium was a venue for both the 1958 FIFA World Cup and the 2009 UEFA European Under-21 Championship.
• Halmstad have won four Swedish titles and produced, among others, Fredrik Ljungberg and Niklas Alexandersson. Halmia were the first side from the city to have played in the Allsvenskan and set the stadium attendance record of 20,381 in 1962 for a promotion play-off against Landskrona BoIS; in 2012 they were promoted from the fourth tier.
• The stadium will stage three UEFA Women's EURO 2013 Group A games and a quarter-final.
• The city of Halmstad is on the west coast of southern Sweden and is 700 years old, well known for its beaches.
