Laëtitia Tonazzi has withdrawn from France's UEFA Women's EURO 2013 squad because of a calf problem and been replaced by uncapped Viviane Asseyi.

The 32-year-old Olympique Lyonnais striker sustained the injury, which caused her to miss the UEFA Women's Champions League final, in a domestic game on 5 May, but was included in Bruno Bini's selection for next month's finals in Sweden subject to medical advice. Bini said: "For her to resume playing has been deemed too risky. We're sorry for her."

Montpellier Hérault SC's Asseyi has joined Les Bleues' training camp in Clairefontaine. The 19-year-old scored eight goals in 18 league appearances last season.

In a further blow to Bini, Tonazzi's club-mate Amandine Henry is doubtful for the tournament. The attacking midfielder will be assessed on Friday to determine whether she has overcome the thigh injury received in Lyon's 4-0 defeat of Montpellier earlier this month in the French Cup semi-finals. SC Freiburg's Marina Makanza has been called up as cover.
