Unbeaten Romania return to top

Romania 2-0 Bosnia-Herzegovina Romania moved back to the head of Group 5 on goal difference with victory.

Romania moved back to the head of UEFA Women's Championship Group 5 with a home victory against Bosnia-Herzegovina.

Deadlock broken
Aiming to reclaim a place in the top four groups via the promotion play-offs, unbeaten Romania took until the 45th minute to break the deadlock through Florentina Spanu. Daniela Simona Pufulete added a second goal 12 minutes from the end.

Leading pair meet
Level on seven points at the head of the group with Croatia, Romania hold first place on goal difference. The leading pair meet in Belišce, Croatia on 18 October, while Bosnia-Herzegovina, who lie fourth with three points from four games, do not have another qualifier until 9 May 2004, when they welcome the Republic of Ireland.
