Bosnia-Herzegovina secured their first win in UEFA Women's Championship Group 5 as they overcame Malta 1-0.
Neither side had a point going into the encounter in Hrasnica, Bosnia having lost to Croatia and the Republic of Ireland, Malta suffering a defeat in Romania. And it was the home side who managed their only goal of their campaign so far as Samira Hurem struck on 72 minutes.
Malta have their next chance to gain a point when they visit Croatia on 28 September. Bosnia, meanwhile, are now two points behind leaders Ireland in the race to win a chance to play off for a place in the top four groups and go to Romania for their next match on 12 October.
