Pernille Harder

Pernille Harder

National team: Denmark

Which players most inspired you and why? When I was little, my big sister inspired me most. I wanted to play in the youth teams like she did and be as good as her. Later I wanted to be as good as Cathrine Paaske-Sørensen.

Which coach most inspired you? Tonny Hermansen (my former coach at the FC Midtjylland academy).

What was the best advice they gave you? Concentrate 100% on everything I do.

Best player you've played with? Katrine Pedersen

Toughest opponent? Marta

What are your memories of your first club as a child? Funny ones; I played with boys.

What tip would you give a young player hoping to succeed? Train to get better all the time.

What was the experience like of playing in a youth final tournament? The 2008 FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup in New Zealand. A great experience to play in front of many people at a young age.
