Women's Under-17 games succumb to weather

The final two matches in UEFA European Women's Under-17 Championship second qualifying round Group 2 have been called off due to extreme weather conditions.

The final two matches in UEFA European Women's Under-17 Championship second qualifying round Group 2 have been called off due to snow.

The recent cold snap in Austria got the better of both fixtures, which are to be rescheduled. In the key match, Poland only need a point against the hosts to qualify, while an Austria win would take them through as long as Norway do not beat the Republic of Ireland. If Norway do win, Austria must beat Poland by three goals to pip them.

The group winners will contest a semi-final showdown in Nyon on 25 June against whichever team emerges top when the postponed Group 1 deciders are played on Wednesday.
