Their team may have missed out on glory in Nyon, but Germany duo Annabel Jäger and Lina Magull can at least console themselves with having topped the scoring charts at the finals.

Though no doubt still feeling the anguish of their semi-final exit, Germany duo Annabel Jäger and Lina Magull can console themselves with having shared the goalscoring honours at the 2011 UEFA European Women's Under-17 Championship finals.
Both started out by hitting the target as Germany drew 2-2 with France to take their last-four meeting to penalties, but Jäger missed from the spot as the two-time winners bowed out early. She and her team-mate were nonetheless able to rally quickly and fire a hat-trick apiece in Germany's 8-2 third-place play-off defeat of Iceland.
That game also featured the only strike of the finals for this season's leading scorer Aldís Kara Lúdvíksdóttir, who took her tally to 12 in the process – two clear of her nearest rivals, although Germany did not compete in the first qualifying round.
Champions Spain claimed the title for the second season in succession, but only one of their players found the net more than once in Nyon. Alexia Putellas slotted twice past Iceland to send Jorge Vilda's side through to the showpiece against France, for whom Claire Lavogez was only able to add a single goal to her nine in qualifying. Ultimately, she and Lúdvíksdóttir were among eight players to score once at the Stade Colovray.
