Germany claimed the first ever UEFA European Women’s Under-17 Championship title and a place in history as they overcame France at Stade Colovray in Nyon.

In 2009 Germany made it back-to-back victories in the UEFA European Women's Under-17 Championship with a comprehensive 7-0 final defeat of Spain.
