Sweden face England in WU19 EURO elite round

Holders Sweden must get past England, Austria and Belgium to defend their WU19 EURO title in Slovakia in July after the elite round draw was made in Nyon.

Holders Sweden must get past England, Austria and Belgium to defend their UEFA European Women's Under-19 Championship title in Slovakia in July after the elite round draw was made.

In the draw, performed by UEFA Women's Football Committee chairwoman Karen Espelund and captain of 2014/15 Respect Fair Play award winners France, Marie-Charlotte Léger, Sweden will host Group 2 of six. Games will be played on 5, 7 and 10 April.

Last season's runners-up Spain meet Denmark, Italy and Northern Ireland, while six-time winners Germany play Poland, the Republic of Ireland and Azerbaijan, at this stage for the first time since 2008/09.

Hosts Slovakia await the six group winners and the runners-up with the best record against the sides first and third in their section.
