• Home of second division side Strømmen IF, who have had three stints in Norway's top flight: 1949-1955, 1956-1961, 1986-1988. Strømmen finished 11th in the second tier last term.

• The record attendance was set in 1957, when 12,800 watched Strømmen beat Larvik Turn & IF 2-0 to reach the Norwegian Cup semi-finals - a club best. They lost 4-1 to Sandefjord BK in the last four.

• The stadium was home to a leading women's side, Team Strømmen, from 2001 to 2007 before they relocated, eventually to Lillestrom. They are now known as LSK Kvinner FK.

Strommen
Some 20km east of Oslo, Strommen developed around the sawmills along the river Cam and is now a town of 8,000 best known for its rich industrial heritage, particularly railway carriages and locomotives.
