Iceland followed up their impressive opening win against Belarus by earning a valuable point away to Group 2 favourites Sweden.
Sweden, semi-finalists at this summer's UEFA European Women's Championship, took the lead through star forward Hanna Ljungberg on 34 minutes, only for the visitors to hit back through Asthildur Helgadottir four minutes after half-time.
The Thomas Dennerby era looked to be getting off to a winning start when Lotta Schelin restored Sweden's lead in the 73rd minute, but Marget Lara Vidarsdottir hauled Iceland back for a second time within two minutes. Iceland top the pool with four points.
