Slovenia made it six wins out of six as they brushed aside Croatia to secure first place in FIFA Women's World Cup qualifying Group 6.
Vais double
Karmen Vais set the Slovenians on their way in Krsko with the opening goal after eleven minutes before Anja Milenkovic doubled the home side's advantage 15 minutes later. The points were then sealed in the final minute when Vais scored her second goal of the game. It was a win that left Slovenia with 18 points from their six matches - which have also brought 23 goals - and they can now prepare for the 2009 UEFA European Women's Championship, when there will no longer be the two-divisional system of five qualifying groups and three other secondary pools. Croatia, meanwhile, are in second place on nine points and round off their campaign in Bosnia-Herzegovina on 20 May.
