Hills to lead England on temporary basis

England will begin their 2015 FIFA Women's World Cup qualifying campaign next month with assistant coach Brent Hills in temporary charge following the dismissal of Hope Powell.

England women's Under-23 coach Brent Hills will take temporary charge of the senior squad for their opening FIFA Women's World Cup qualifiers next month.

Hills was assistant to Hope Powell, whose 15-year tenure was ended on Tuesday following the Lionesses' group stage exit last month at UEFA Women's EURO 2013.

England begin their campaign to qualify for Canada 2015 with home games against Belarus and Turkey on 21 and 26 September respectively.
