Former France women's coach Elisabeth Loisel has taken the helm of China following the resignation of Marika Domanski-Lyfors.
'Considerable progress'
The ex-Sweden chief led hosts China to the FIFA Women's World Cup quarter-finals last month, while Loisel - who was in charge of France for a decade until February - will have ten months to work towards the 2008 Olympic tournament, which her new nation will also stage, with Germany, Norway and Sweden or Denmark representing Europe. Loisel said: "China have made considerable progress under the guidance of Marika, and in the days to come I will work flat out to help them achieve more."
