Capello warming to Russia task

Despite his impressive start as Russia coach, Fabio Capello is finding it tough to settle in Moscow, but told UEFA.com: "As with all difficult challenges, I like to take them on."

A 2-0 win against Northern Ireland and a 4-0 victory in Israel represented a fabulous start to Russia's FIFA World Cup qualifying campaign, and Fabio Capello's spell as national team coach.

The Italian told UEFA.com he was enjoying being in Moscow – even though he was yet to settle in. "I have just arrived and I am living in a hotel," he said. "Moscow is a beautiful city. Russia is a nation full of development. You see many nice things. For example all the stadiums are built for the World Cup, the infrastructure, so it's really a nation worth living in."

However, the former AC Milan, AS Roma, Real Madrid CF and England boss admitted that the task he took on in July, following Dick Advocaat’s departure, has not been without problems. "Everything is written in Cyrillic, and it's difficult to read and to learn the Cyrillic alphabet," said the 66-year-old. "I always need a translator, and it makes it a bit more difficult to say what I want to say. Sometimes the right expression, the right word, helps you a lot. So I would say it's really difficult. But as with all difficult challenges, I like to take them on."
