The postponed FIFA World Cup qualifier between Poland and England at the National Stadium Warsaw has been rescheduled for Wednesday afternoon, with a 17.00CET kick-off.

The Group H match was due to be played on Tuesday evening but torrential rain led to the postponement, which was confirmed 45 minutes after the scheduled kick-off time following a number of inspections of the waterlogged pitch.

According to Article 19, paragraph 7 of the 2014 FIFA World Cup Regulations, the postponed game is to take place on the following day. The two teams are permitted to alter their start list as the match had not begun.

The Polish Football Federation (PZPN) confirmed that tickets issued for the game would be valid for the rearranged fixture.
