England face a tough start to their bid to qualify for the 2006 FIFA World Cup with trips to Austria and Poland.
After a meeting in Cardiff, the Group 6 nations, who also include Wales, Northern Ireland and Azerbaijan, agreed their schedule, which begins on 4 September with England in Austria, Wales visiting Azerbaijan and Northern Ireland welcoming Poland.
Wales manager Mark Hughes, who will have the suspended Ryan Giggs back for their crucial trip to England on 9 October, said: "We're all reasonably happy. I think the main thing was that we had an agreement today. The worry prior to these meetings is that no one can agree and you have to go to the lottery of the FIFA draw. But that hasn't happened and I think everyone has taken something out of the fixtures meeting."
