Forlán and Suárez set sights on France

After prolific campaigns at club level, Uruguay strikers Diego Forlán and Luis Suárez hope to make their experience of European football count in their FIFA World Cup opener against France.

Two of European football's most in-form strikers will line up side by side later today to spearhead Uruguay's FIFA World Cup campaign.

Diego Forlán and Luis Suárez hit 77 goals between them this season for Club Atlético de Madrid and AFC Ajax respectively. Both play their club football in Europe but, as they look ahead to the tournament in interviews with UEFA.com, Forlán for one does not think that gives them an advantage in facing the one European side in their World Cup group – France.
