Iceland ready for Latvian test

Iceland coaches Ásgeir Sigurvinsson and Logi Ólafsson have named a 22-man party for the friendly with Latvia.

Iceland coaches Ásgeir Sigurvinsson and Logi Ólafsson have named a 22-man party for the friendly international against UEFA EURO 2004™ finalists Latvia in Riga on 28 April.

Tough test
Sigurvinsson and Ólafsson will use the friendly as preparation for a tough FIFA World Cup qualifying section. Iceland have been drawn in Group 8, alongside Bulgaria, Sweden and Croatia – who will all play in this summer's EURO 2004™ tournament in Portugal – with Hungary and Malta making up the section.
