Switzerland will go into their 2014 FIFA World Cup qualifying campaign full of confidence after recording an impressive 4-2 win in Croatia in the first international action of the season. 

Belgium's exciting crop of talent came of age during an identical victory against the Netherlands, and in a re-run of their UEFA EURO 2012 quarter-final, England rallied from a goal behind to beat Italy. Spain and Portugal also won, while Didier Deschamps' first game in charge of France ended goalless.
