Portugal, Greece, Croatia and Ukraine will be seeded in Monday's FIFA World Cup play-off draw with their opponents to be France, Sweden, Romania or Iceland.
The eight runners-up from the nine qualifying groups with the best records against the sides finishing first, third, fourth and fifth in their section progressed to the two-legged play-offs on 15 and 19 November. Denmark were the second-placed team that missed out. The play-off draw takes place at 14.00CET on Monday in Zurich, with the four highest countries in October's FIFA world rankings (published this morning) seeded.
Those seeded sides are Portugal, Greece, Croatia and Ukraine, who can each draw any of France, Sweden, Romania and play-off debutants Iceland. The four winners of the two-legged ties will join the nine UEFA group winners – Belgium, Italy, Germany, Netherlands, Switzerland, Russia, debutants Bosnia and Herzegovina, England and holders Spain – in the finals in Brazil running from 12 June to 13 July 2014.
