Fenerbahçe SK striker Nicolas Anelka is the shock inclusion for France in their squad for the forthcoming friendlies against Costa Rica and Germany.

Fenerbahçe SK striker Nicolas Anelka is the shock inclusion in France's squad for the forthcoming friendlies against Costa Rica and Germany. The 26-year-old's last international appearance was on 17 April 2002 in a 0-0 draw against Russia. He fell out of favour under previous coach Jacques Santini. Les Bleus will play Costa Rica on 9 November at Fort-de-France in the West Indies before welcoming Germany to the Stade de France three days later.
