• Scored four goals, and set up three others, in seven appearances as Switzerland won the 2009 FIFA U-17 World Cup in Nigeria − awarded the Silver Ball.

• Played as a central striker in a 4-3-3 formation for Grasshoppers in 2009/10, registering eight goals in 25 Super League games.

• That prompted a move to Wolfsburg but he failed to make an appearance for the Saxony club in 2010/11 and was loaned for the second half of the campaign to Bundesliga rivals Nürnberg, for whom he featured just once.
