An intermittent French international since 2003, full-back Anthony Réveillère has already been capped more often by current coach Laurent Blanc than in any previous regime. He won five successive Ligue 1 titles with Olympique Lyonnais, from 2003/04 to 2007/08, and has just finished his ninth consecutive season with the club.

• A French youth international at Under-15, U16 and U17 level, Réveillère joined Stade Rennais FC in 1996 and became a regular in the side two years later, finishing fifth in his first full Ligue 1 campaign.

• Had made 140 league appearances for the Brittany club when he moved to Valencia midway through the 2002/03 season.

• Featured regularly in Rafael Benítez's side, scoring two goals in 18 Liga games and starting all six UEFA Champions League matches for which he was eligible, but he failed to agree a long-term contract and returned home to join Lyon instead.

• Won his first senior cap for France in October 2003 but received sporadic call-ups thereafter despite his contributions to Lyon's continuing domestic dominance, which included a Coupe de France victory in 2008 in addition to the five league titles.

• Missed most of the second half of the 2008/09 season with ruptured knee ligaments sustained in a league game against Paris Saint-Germain FC, but appeared in 13 UEFA Champions League matches the following campaign as Lyon reached the semi-finals.

• A non-playing member of France's 2010 FIFA World Cup squad, he featured in the subsequent UEFA EURO 2012 qualifying campaign, where he scored his first international goal in a 3-0 home victory against Albania.
