A willing, energetic winger with penetrative dribbling skills and a penchant for scoring spectacular goals, Jérémy Ménez is a growing force in the French game and travels to UEFA EURO 2012, his first major tournament, with confidence after an impressive debut season for Paris Saint-Germain FC following a three-year spell with AS Roma.
• Scored a seven-minute hat-trick for FC Sochaux-Montbéliard against FC Girondins de Bordeaux on 22 January 2005, becoming the youngest player to achieve the feat in the French championship.
• A French youth international in every age group, he was a European champion at U17 level in 2004 and won the UEFA-CAF Meridian Cup the following year, scoring five goals in four matches.
• Joined AS Monaco FC in 2006 and scored seven league goals in each of his two seasons in the Principality before departing for Roma for an initial €10.5m.
• Chiefly a substitute during his first campaign in Rome under coach Luciano Spalletti, scoring four Serie A goals; on target just once in the league under Claudio Ranieri in 2009/10 but more prominent in 2010/11, scoring his first UEFA Champions League goal in 3-2 win at FC Basel 1893.
• Made his full international debut in Laurent Blanc's first match as France coach, a 2-1 defeat by Norway on 11 August 2010.
• Moved back to France and PSG, his home-town club, in July 2011 for a reported €8m.
