Spain belied their injury problems to comfortably beat Hungary in their UEFA Futsal EURO 2016 Group B opener in Belgrade.

Adri, Aicardo, Sergio Lozano and Fernandao may have missed out on the finals, and captain Ortiz is also sidelined for the group stage, but it was a familiar Spain that patiently wore down Hungary. They did have good fortune, however, when Bebe's cross was turned into his own goal by Péter Németh. Kairat Almaty signing Zoltán Dróth gave Hungary hope with an accurate free-kick but Miguelín's second goal and Andresito's finish after a sublime team move made certain for Spain. Dróth did have time for a late second.

The key
Spain may have had a host of attacking players ruled out through injury, but their strength in depth meant they did not miss a step. Bebe making two first-half goals either side of his 15th-minute strike is proof of that.

Miguelín finish a corker
Bebe was not the only Murcia player to star. Miguelín's superb, powerful drive to make it 4-1 snuffed out Hungary's comeback and gave him the early adidas Golden Shoe lead.

Can Hungary respond?
Hungary's finals record now reads played six, lost six in their third appearance. That must change but Hungary's record against Ukraine is not that much better than versus Spain, though Sito Rivera's tactical nous and Zoltán Dróth's goal threat means victory is possible.

Reaction:
Zoltán Dróth, Hungary goalscorer

We played against the No1 team in the world, it was very difficult. Still, I am happy to have scored twice and our goal is now to beat Ukraine. We'll forget this defeat and concentrate on the next game.
