The draw for the European qualifying round of the 2004 FIFA Futsal World Championship has thrown up ten intriguing groups.
Ten groups
The 32 entrants have been divided into ten sections, with Groups 1 and 2 featuring four teams and the remaining eight sections three each. Five European nations will qualify for the final round, which will be played in Chinese Taipei in November 2004.
Play-off stage
The teams' positions in their respective groups are determined by their coefficient ranking. The winners from each group will progress to the two-legged play-off round, to be played on 10 and 17 December. The play-off draw will be held on 13 November.
