The seven main round group winners will be drawn against the seven runners-up for two-legged ties on 22 March and 12 April 2016. No team can play a side from their main round group and the runners-up will be at home in the first leg. The seven play-off winners progress to the 24-nation final tournament in Colombia from 14 September to 2 October.
