UEFA announced today that it has reached an agreement with Univision Deportes, the multimedia sports division of Univision Communications Inc., for the exclusive Spanish-language rights in the United States to UEFA's national team competitions during the 2018–22 cycle.

Univision Deportes will provide extensive coverage across Univision Network, Unimás, Univision Deportes Network (UDN) and Galavisión, thereby ensuring full access to UEFA's national team competitions for Spanish-speaking football fans.

UEFA National Team Football 2018–22

The UEFA National Team Football 2018–22 package comprises the following competitions:

• two editions of the newly created UEFA Nations League, including the two UEFA Nations League Final Four tournaments which will be played in June 2019 and June 2021
• the European Qualifiers for UEFA EURO 2020 and the 2022 FIFA World Cup • other international matches involving the national teams of UEFA's member associations

Univision Deportes will show at least one live match per kick-off slot, with most of these games being aired on Univisión and Unimás.

In addition, Univision Deportes will broadcast a daily highlights programme featuring all the footballing action of that day as well as dedicated magazine shows.

UEFA EURO 2020

UEFA EURO 2020 marks the 60th anniversary of the UEFA European Championship, with matches to be played in 13 host cities across Europe. Univision Deportes will screen all games live, complementing its live coverage with magazine shows and daily highlights during the tournament.

In line with UEFA's platform-neutral approach, Spanish-speaking football fans in the United States will also be able to follow all matches included in the agreement on Univision's digital outlets: www.univision.com/deportes and the Univision Deportes application.

Commenting on the agreement, Guy-Laurent Epstein, marketing director of UEFA Events SA, said: "Univision Deportes is UEFA's first announced broadcast partner for the complete 2018–22 UEFA national team football portfolio, including the brand-new UEFA Nations League that will start in 2018.

"The agreement also marks the entry of Univision Deportes into the UEFA broadcast family, a great addition for UEFA, but also especially for football fans in the United States. We are convinced that Univision Deportes will be a great partner for UEFA. Undoubtedly, Univision Deportes will raise the profile of UEFA's competitions and deliver great coverage to its viewers, making this partnership a success both on and off air."
