Armand Duka was born and raised in Shijak, in the Albanian county of Durrës. He completed his studies in economics at the University of Tirana in 1986. After working for several years as an economist, in 1993 he established his own private company AIBA, the leading poultry producer in the Albanian market.

He is well-known as one of the most successful businessmen in the country in the last 30 years, working in different areas of business such as agricultural production, telecommunication, digital TV, retail and electronics. Following in his father’s footsteps as a former football player, his passion for football guided him to become the main sponsor of his hometown clubs Teuta and Erzeni in the mid-1990s. Subsequently, he was proposed and then elected in May 2002 as president of the Football Association of Albania (FShF).

During his terms as president, football in Albania has witnessed several important successes, including major changes in stadium infrastructure, the construction of new training centres and the association’s new headquarters, and the Albanian national team’s excellent qualification for the UEFA EURO 2016 finals. Armand Duka has served as a member of various UEFA and FIFA committees for many years, and has vast experience in football management. He was elected to the UEFA Executive Committee as a member at the Ordinary UEFA Congress in Rome in February 2019.
