Appeals Body announces Madrid decisions

UEFA's Appeals Body has ruled on the appeals case relating to Real Madrid CF's Group G match at AFC Ajax and the disciplinary decisions that followed the game in Amsterdam.

The UEFA Appeals Body has announced its decisions in the appeals case relating to the UEFA Champions League Group G game between AFC Ajax and Real Madrid CF in Amsterdam on Tuesday 23 November.

The Appeals Body has decided as follows:

• Real Madrid CF are now fined €100,000 instead of €120,000.
• Coach José Mourinho is now fined €30,000 instead of €40,000.
• José Mourinho is now suspended for one match – Wednesday's Group G fixture between Madrid and AJ Auxerre – instead of the initial suspension of one game with a second game deferred for a probationary period of three years.
• The fines handed down by the UEFA Control and Disciplinary Body to the Madrid players Xabi Alonso and Sergio Ramos (€20,000 each), Iker Casillas (€10,000) and Jerzy Dudek (€5,000) remain the same. The one-match suspensions issued to Alonso and Ramos also stand.
