Genk move to second
Genk moved into second place, behind leaders Club Brugge KV and ahead of RSC Anderlecht, ahead of the pair's clash tomorrow but they got off to the worst possible start when Jonas de Roeck headed home for Lierse in the fifth minute.
Thijs settles the tie
However, Moumouni Dagano struck back for Genk a minute before half-time and the visitors were in the ascendancy at the restart. It was no surprise when the breakthrough came with Bernd Thijs converting from the penalty spot in the 65th minute after Mirsad Beslija had been felled in the area.
Camus sinks Lokeren
Sporting Lokeren St-Niklaas Waasland lost ground in the race for a European place after falling 1-0 at R. Charleroi SC. Lokeren were undone by a 66th-minute strike from Daniel Camus. Camus' original effort was tipped away by Lokeren goalkeeper Sven van der Jeugt but only as far as Darko Pivaljevic who headed back to Camus to apply the finish.

RWD Molenbeek and R. Excelsior Mouscron shared the spoils after a 1-1 draw. The hosts took the lead after five minutes as Michael Origi beat the offside trap before squaring the ball to Ivica Jarakovic who fired home. It took the visitors until the 83rd minute to level, Christophe Gregoire crossing for Mbo Mpenza to score.
Mutavdzic takes control
Aleksander Mutavdzic was the hero for KFC Germinal Beerschot Antwerpen as they saw off K. Sint-Truidense VV 1-0 at the Olympisch stadium. Marc Degryse's 38th-minute free-kick came back off the crossbar but Yugoslavian midfielder Mutavdzic finished off the rebound.
Lommelse beat Beveren
KFC Lommelse SK completed the day's play in Belgium with a 3-1 home win over KSK Beveren. Two goals from Wim Mennes and one for Carl Hoefkens had the game won before Tomas Danilevicius sneaked a consolation in the 89th minute.
