FC Levadia Tallinn lifted their first trophy in two years after defeating JK Trans Narva 3-0 in the Estonian Cup final.

Following a disappointing 2011 season in which Levadia failed to win a trophy for the first time in their history, the Tallinn side bounced back by picking up their seventh Estonian Cup. A record 3,000 supporters witnessed Levadia make the most of their chances in a tight game.

Fortune favoured Levadia in the first half, as Aleksandr Alekseev failed to capitalise when through one on one, before Maksim Gruznov's fierce free-kick struck the crossbar. However, another Maksim – Levadia's Podholjuzin – turned things in his team's favour with a header five minutes from the interval. Defender Artjom Artjunin doubled the lead with a stunning 65th-minute free-kick, before Levadia captain Igor Morozov added a third.

"We didn't play as well as we wanted, but at least we won the trophy," said Morozov. "It's the first major success for many of our players. I think everybody is glad now."
