The 31-year-old forward was carried off after 39 minutes of the game at the Stadio Olimpico, with team-mate Mancini coming on. Totti was immediately taken to hospital where a scan confirmed the extent of his injury. Initial reports suggest he could be absent for as long as six months and he is also expected to require surgery, possibly even this weekend.
