Gerard Gohou scored twice as FC Kairat Almaty won the Kazakh Cup for the sixth time, defeating FC Aktobe 4-1 in the final.
Gohou's first of the afternoon, a confident finish past Andrei Sidelnikov, restored Kairat's lead, Yuri Logvinenko having equalised after an own goal by team-mate Robert Arzumanyan.
In the second half another defensive lapse by Aktobe led to Gohou registering again. Midfielder Aslan Darabayev rounded things off for Kairat, who finished third in the Kazakh Premier League, one place and two points below their opponents.
Kairat captain Bauyrzhan Islamkhan told UEFA.com: "We played well today. We controlled the game and deserved the victory. It's a pity we couldn't do better in the league, but I believe our fans are a bit happier now. We have to thank them for their great support. They came to Astana in numbers and helped us win."
