Russian outfit FC Saturn Moskovskaya Oblast will replace coach Alexander Tarkhanov with Vladimir Shevchuk.
The 50-year-old Tarkhanov has been with Saturn since September 2004 but has failed to live up to expectations. After two months without a win in the current 2005 season, the coach has decided to leave by mutual agreement with the Saturn board.
His position will be filled by the 51-year-old Shevchuk, whose previous spell in charge ended in November 2002. Since then he has held several roles, including working with the Russia national team and serving as assistant coach at PFC CSKA Moskva during their hugely successful 2004 campaign.
"Tarkhanov asked to resign, and we duly accepted," said Saturn chairman Valeri Aksakov. "When choosing the new coach we had no doubts."
