Wales round-up: Top sides keep up form

Port Talbot Town FC secured a 2-1 win against Flexys Cefn Druids AFC to remain a point clear at the top.

Mark Dodds scored a late winner for Port Talbot Town FC in a 2-1 win against Flexys Cefn Druids AFC on Saturday that kept the League of Wales leaders a point clear.

Comeback win
When Mike Davies put Flexsys ahead after 18 minutes, it looked like an upset could be on the cards, but Leon Jeanne pulled the scores level with an equaliser for the home side in the 62nd minute. Dodds secured the victory ten minutes from the end.

Barry in touch
Second-placed Barry Town AFC kept in touch with a narrow 1-0 win at Rhyl FC, Lawrance Davies scoring the only goal of the game in the 43rd minute, while Gary McCosh and Stuart Raine scored Connah's Quay Nomads FC's goals in their 2-0 victory against Cwmbran Town FC - a result which puts them third, two points behind Port Talbot.

Perry double
A double strike from Justin Perry helped TNS Llansantffraid FC to a 3-0 win against Llanelli FC, who drop to bottom place with only one victory in ten games, and Oswestry Town FC came from 2-0 down to record a 3-2 triumph against Caersws FC, with second-half goals from Mark Antrobus, Carl Robinson and Mark Hobson.

Loan moves pay off
Strikes from Shaun O'Leary and Mich Patton gave Afan Lido FC a 2-0 win at Carmarthen Town AFC as Simon Heall and Tony Wallis, both on loan from Welsh-based English second division leaders Cardiff City FC, scored for Haverfordwest County AFC to give them a 2-0 lead against Newtown AFC, only for the mid-Wales side to come back with second-half goals to gain a 2-2 draw.
