IFK Göteborg have signed Sampo Koskinen as a replacement for Jon-Inge Höilands.
Defender Höilands decided to leave the Gamla Ullevi stadium to join Malmö FF, but Göteborg have moved quickly to bring in former Finnish Under-21 international Koskinen who has signed a two-year deal at the west coast club.
The right-sided defender has joined on a free transfer following his release by Dutch club RBC Roosendahl last season. Koskinen, who started his career in Finland with FC Jokerit, had undergone a successful trial period at his new club.
Back in training
"I'm happy that it's all been sorted out, and I'm eager to get on with training," said Koskinen, after his signing was officially announced. The Finnish defender has become Göteborg's third signing of the close season joining Hans Blomqvist and Kalle Svensson at his new club.
