After losing Sergio Pachón to injury, Getafe CF have bolstered their attack by signing 26-year-old striker Jaime Asensio de La Fuente - Asen, for short - from Madrid-based AD Alcorcón. Levante UD, meanwhile, have signed goalkeeper Pablo Cavallero from RC Celta de Vigo until the end of the season with the option of a three-year deal should the 30-year-old play eight matches or more. However, centre-back Félix Carballo has decided to retire from football aged 37.
Former German international Michael Hartmann has joined FC Hansa Rostock from Hertha BSC Berlin. The 30-year-old left-back becomes Rostock's second notable signing of the transfer window following Jari Litmanen's arrival last week. He has penned an 18-month contract.
Staying in Germany, the Serbo-Montenegrin striker Radomir Dalovic has completed an 18-month loan move to DSC Arminia Bielefeld from Croatia's NK Zagreb. The Bundesliga club have the option to sign the 22-year-old for another two years from summer 2006.

In Scotland, Livingston FC have strengthened in defence by bringing in Eric Deloumeaux and Greg Strong from clubs in England. Meanwhile, former Livingston skipper Stuart Lovell has left to join first division Queen of the South FC.
Heart of Midlothian FC have signed a third player from Lithuania's FBK Kaunas. "He has a decent pedigree", said Hearts manager John Robertson, who also has Saulius Mikoliunas and Marius Kizys on the books at Tynecastle.
Belgian side KSV Cercle Brugge have signed midfield players Sergio Peter and Christophe Grondin on six-month contracts. In the Netherlands, NAC Breda have signed Maceo Rigters on a four-and-a-half year contract. The 22-year-old forward joins from FC Dordrecht for an undisclosed fee. Rigters, a former SC Heerenveen player, scored seven goals in 17 second division matches this season and his arrival meant Breda were willing to let Robert Braber move on loan to second division side Helmond Sport.
Heading east, goalkeeper Vladimir Disljenkovic has left FK Crvena Zvezda to join Ukrainian side FC Metalurh Donetsk on a two-year contract. Another Belgrade club, FK Obilic, have brought in six new faces - all on six-month contracts - in an attempt to avoid relegation.
