RC Deportivo La Coruña have signed Euqitorial Guinea striker Rodolfo Bodipo from CD Alavés and FC Barcelona reserve Cristian Hidalgo González.
RC Deportivo La Coruña have completed the signing of Rodolfo Bodipo from CD Alavés and fellow forward Cristian Hidalgo González from FC Barcelona.
The 27-year-old Bodipo was delighted to have signed a five-year deal, with the option of an extra two, at the Riazor after joining the Galician outfit for €2 million. "I am looking forward to growing as a player at Deportivo," said Bodipo, who played under Deportivo coach Joaquín Caparrós at RC Recreativo de Huelva. The Equitorial Guinea striker left Huelva to join Real Racing Club Santander in 2001 and after three seasons at the Cantabrian club moved to Alavés in 2004.
Cristian has joined Depor on a free transfer from Barça in a move that would see the Catalan club receive 30 per cent of any future transfer fee. The 22-year-old striker came through the youth ranks at Camp Nou and made his only first team appearance against Zamora CF in the Copa Del Rey last season. Deportivo have already signed Riki from Getafe CF, Pablo Álvarez from Real Sporting de Gijón, Málaga CF's Juan Rodríguez and Albert Lopo from RCD Espanyol this summer. Meanwhile, Deportivo defender Juanma had surgery on a stomach injury this morning and is set to miss the entire pre-season training programme.
