FK Željezničar secured their fifth Bosnian title and the club's second in three seasons after beating neighbours FK Slavija Sarajevo 3-1 to take an unassailable 11-point lead in the Premier League with three games left.

The win stretched Željezničar's unbeaten run to 32 matches in all competitions and strengthened their position as Bosnia and Herzegovina's most eminent club. Central to that success has been goalkeeper Adnan Gušo, who came out of retirement in the autumn and kept an unprecedented 18 successive clean sheets.

Željezničar will look to finish the season with a flourish, starting with a derby against FK Sarajevo on Saturday. There is then the small matter of securing a domestic double when Željezničar take a 1-0 advantage into the Bosnian Cup final second leg against NK Široki Brijeg on 16 May.
